But yeah, old dogs do that. There is really nothing you can do until the end short of banning him from the inside of the house.

You could do what the lady across the street from us did. She went outside to the landscapers with her little poodle and said "Do you want my dog? She's old and keeps peeing everywhere and I don't want her anymore!" and they said yes and put the poodle in the back of their truck and left.

I keep having nightmares about that poor poodle. I hope they didn't hurt her. Now you can have nightmares too. You're welcome.
