Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was released on 16 November, 2001 to much anticipation, as the book series was rapidly gaining popularity. The film was written by Steve Kloves, directed by Chris Columbus, with a soundtrack by John Williams. This was our first introduction to the magic of the Harry Potter world on screen.
