How They Made/Make Fandom Great: arse, I should have made this the first comment on the post.

OK, firstly, to embarrass my kerryblaze by thanking her from the heart of my bottom for causing hp-reunion, without whom and which and yeah.

But, OMG, what hasn't she done to make my fandom experience great!

She wrote the most fabulous Harry/Ron and ran bestmates-xmas, the best single pairing Xmas fest; she flew to London to watch dark and challenging theatre with me, she flew to London to read Deathly Hallows with me; she protected me from wank; she took me into her home and let me cuddle her cats and taught me what baseball does and took me to New York for more dark and challenging theatre and stupid musicals; she watched Torchwood on my husband's slingbox, while we watched her little blinking light; she smuggled a voice recorder in her bra into Dan Radcliffe's Times Talk, to record it for me; she was the first fandom friend to see my new house, and loads of them live in London, and no one was surprised that she saw it first.

Oh, Kerry, without whom!

I'm glad I'm typing because I wouldn't be able to talk. I can't imagine what the past ten years would've been liked without any of these things and you and your family, who take me to century old inns for my birthday.

I imagine us old ladies still having theatre trips.
