"I'm so glad Halloween was on a weekend this year."
"Arthur, you've been giddy all day. What's going on?"
"It was your 18th birthday yesterday."
Molly blinked. "Yes..."
"I got you a present." Arthur reached into his pocket. "Molly, I love you."
"I love you, too." But clearly, she didn't see what he was getting at.
"I know we're young--you're still at Hogwarts and I only finished in June. But Molly, please say you'll marry me." He held out the ring.
Molly stared. "And I've been knitting you jumpers," she managed. Then she put the ring on and smiled. "Yes."

"Mrs. Potter," James said sternly, if a little slurred. "I do believe you are drunk."
"Oh, like you aren't! I saw you splitting that bottle with Frank."
"Only after you and Alice abandoned us! What were you drinking?"
"See if you can taste," she invited, grinning.
"Hmm...I'll have to check again."
She shook her head and gestured to their bedroom.
And nine months later, on July 31, they held their son for the first time.
