Hmm, that's very true... Harry has the ability to do terrible things, and there are clear parallels between Voldemort and Harry. Let's just hope Harry's intentions stay good. "His blood runs in Voldemort's veins" -- that one short sentence has a lot of impact. Good job.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I think Harry has to stay very conscience of what he wants and what he's doing to get it. I think Ollivander had it right when he spoke of Voldemort and Harry in book one.

Thanks for reading, and commenting.

*evil smirk* Thank you for writing this. Because I think of Harry -and his whole house- in terms of 'what if they were Slytherins?' Because if they hadn't been Dumbledores golden kids they probably would have received a punishment (or a harsher one) for lots of what they've done, like flying a car to school, or setting a herd of centaurs on a teacher, I mean his friends records aren't clean either. So even if they were muggles that would have been an issue that could get them expelled. *shifty* Maybe the 'injustice' that he suffered in fifth year was just overdue punishments? You never know.

*winks* You're very welcome! There is sososo many times in the books when I totally agree with that. I mean, practically every time he and his friends do something wrong, they barely get punished. (Meaning, I think they would deserve a lot more than what they actually get). Harry being who he is has gotten him out of a lot of shit, things that other kids would have been expelled (even arrested) for. So yeah, it's definitely an issue worth wondering about.

The books are all about love and choices, and it's interesting to see how far he'll go before he slips. Well, he's already slipped -- the Cruciatus in the Ministry -- but he hasn't gone over the edge yet. And it is tempting to say "why shouldn't I fight using the same dirty tactics?"

The strangling -- was that Sirius in the Shack?

I agree. I think also that he's too young to fully understand what he's doing, or will do, in war. He takes everything too personally, is too passionate about what he's defending (which, don't get me wrong, is a good thing, but could potentially blind him from his tactics).

I wrote that about Mundungus in Hogsmede in HBP, never even thinking about that with Sirius. It does work for both, though, now that you say it.

It won’t take much for him to slip into the patterns of those he fights.

He got over the Sectumsempra awfully quickly, after all...

Nicely done.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. (And he didn't seem too upset about that much later on, did he?)

Who was it that said something along the lines of 'it is a fine line between evil and good, all it takes is one tiny slip'? Or something like that, at any rate.

Wonderful job, though I am more partial to the first for some reason. I think it scans better. Plus, I love the internal dialogue.

I can't help but think along those lines when it comes to our Golden Boy, who has toed that line for quite some time, now.

Ooh, I'm glad you liked the first better. I chose it because I did think it covered more, although neither of them touch all of what he's done. Thanks for commenting!
