Luna's voice is soft and galvanizing. He is beginning to forget the sun's arching heat, and her words come to him like so many fingers made of twilight, illuminating his lungs and inflating his shrunken memories. He clutches her flourlike hands eagerly, tries to find the sense of dialogue buried somewhere between the filth and stones.
"I'm here because I helped Harry," she tells him. After a beat, she adds quietly: "And you're here because you wouldn't."
Ollivander hears no judgment, and in the high darkness of the Malfoy cellars he shuts his eyes.
