Kat was yawning as she made her way into the common room. Late nights were becoming the norm, and she figured she should quit that. Ruffling Arc's fur in passing, she waved sleepily to Ally. "Hey. Ready?"

Tugging absently at the sleeve of her sweatshirt, she looked around the common room again, mostly to see if there was anyone present she should give a specific good morning to. "Or are we waiting for others?" she belatedly added.

Overjoyed to see Kat she bounced up and put her gloves on. She looked around slightly before speaking, "I'm not sure. I think Al was going to meet us there.. we could wait a little longer to see if anyone else wants to come." Her mood had changed drastically when her friend came in. The heavy tension that was once filling the room, was now seeping away.

She smiled and nodded and plunked down on the couch to wait. She glanced over to Ally's broom, repressing a little shudder. How the others managed to not only tolerate that, but enjoy it, she'd never know.

She wouldn't trust her life to a bit of wood between her legs. Shaking her head, Kat looked around again, biting her lip. She almost asked Ally to tell Al her secret, but... that was kind of a pussy way out, wasn't it? But she still hadn't figured out a way to come out, as it were. "Are you nervous?" Her head tilted as she regarded Ally.

"As nervous as someone could be." She said with a smile, her hands a little shaky. Taking a few breaths in and out she managed to calm down a little. It was then that she pulled her broom on to her lap and took out a waxing kit.

"So.." She looked up a little more calm from her broom. "How did things go after I left yesterday?"

Scorpius had made his way out onto the Quidditch pitch and was sitting in the Slytherin stands, quietly and by himself. While he had little to no interest in Quidditch itself, he was always interested in the brooms. He would design broom and then build models that he enchanted to fly, so he needed primary information straight from the source in order to correctly achieve the movements.

In other words, he was being horrendously boring again.

Rose, bored and alone again, had seen people gathered on the Pitch as she glanced through a window as she passed. Noting that the group was mostly clad in green and silver, Rose decided she might as well go and watch. Maybe she would get some tips to help her with her own training, and she had always promised Al that she would be there for all of his tryouts.

Climbing the steps of the stadium seats, Rose spotted Scorpius in the stands. She made her way over to him, cathing his attention with a wave. "May I sit here?" she asked politely.

He was running late.

Swearing lightly to himself, Al sprinted along the grounds, a tiny cloud invading his vision every once and a while from breathing so hard. He couldn't believe he let himself get so caught up in that Charms essay; he really shouldn't have locked himself up in his dorm for that, stupid idea.

He really hoped the tryouts haven't started yet. He'd never forgive himself if he missed being there for his friend.

"Rose!" he suddenly called out, as he spotted his cousin shifting along on the stands. He blinked curiously as he approached, looking around a little lost. "Are you allowed to be here?" It wasn't meant to be rude, but asked purely out of curiosity, proving just what a naive little first year he was.

Sometime during her flying she noticed a familiar, face among the others and smiled. Al finally showed up! She knew he wouldn't let her down. Seeing him gave her more courage and as she took the last turn on her practice route, she decided to speed up.

In doing so she landed in front of the captain first before all of the others, and to stick out a bit she had flipped off her broom.

After she had done so her eyes widened, since when was she a show off?! Blinking she smiled and backed away from the captain a little and decided maybe it was just the adrenaline. Yeah, that had to be it.

((be impressed by my ingenuity in choosing a username here.))

Randy Wood stood alone on the empty Quidditch Pitch, waiting for the prospective members of his team to arrive. It was partly cloudy, and the Pitch seemed in as good of condition as he could have hoped for. With a little bit of luck, this wouldn't take too much of his time.

It didn't take them long to reach the pitch at all. As Ally got closer she began to chew on her bottom lip a little. Looking around she saw a lot of the Slytherin she'd seen from the common room already there. But the one face she didn't see, was Al's.

Feeling her stomach drop a little she stopped behind a few older students to listen to the captain.

"You can sit over there Kat." She pointed to the stands where she almost certainly saw Scorp and ...that girl she had met earlier? Rose was it?

"Okay." She impulsively hugged Ally. "Good luck." She grinned to her before she turned to trot toward the stands. She wove her way up to settle down next to Scorpius, offering a smile up to Rose. She'd joined them, really, just because she didn't want to sit by herself.

Du was already outside and he watched the people who were going to try out show up, he looked them over a bit and crossed his arms. He looked slightly uninterested until he noticed Ally make her way towards the group and his eyes widened in shock, and without thinking, made his way quickly toward her.

"No no no why are you here Alexandrea-belle? Surely you're not trying out..you..you're a.."

He knew it would be smart not to finish the sentence as he had first planned on.

"It's dangerous.."

Rolling his eyes at the various inane conversations that seemed to be occuring among some of the younger students, Randy held up his hand and snapped his fingers for attention.

When this failed miserably, he cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted. "Alright! All of you, form a line. You'll be doing some basic flying drills, one at a time, and if I think you're worth it, we'll go through some more detailed practice later."

Hearing the voice of the leader she waved goodbye and asked for a blessing of good luck to Dureau and walked to the line. Since she was close to him in the first place she was one of the first in the group.

As she finally made it to the front she mounted her broom and kicked off.

It was second nature to Ally to be on a broom. She had been on one since the day she was old enough. Doing exactly as instructed she flew circles around the pitch and at speeds she was told to hold. When he asked for a different climb in altitude she did, when he wanted to see their abilities to stop and dive, she did.

*Du walked away to stand near the other people watching the try-outs, but the rest were sitting and he was a bit too anxious to sit down. He rested his chin in his hand and watched Ally, keying in on her alone and learning her movements, as he knew if she did actually make the team he would have to be able to read her body language. Du sure as hell wasn't going to let her get injured.*
