From the Crochet Fiend....

Interested in commissioning me to make you a blanket or another crocheted goodie? We can talk. I've only recently started opening myself up to the possibility of doing commissions within the fandom. I love to share my love of crocheting with others, but I've always just done when the need/want arose. So, I've been thinking for a while and here' ( Read more... )

Hi there. I just found you via the Quidditch Pitch. You do fabulous work!

Can I ask you a question about your technique? I crochet, and I've thought about using patterns before (I can't draw freehand to save my life but give me a piece of graph paper and all bets are off), but I'm just not sure how to do it. Do you work in single chrochet where one stitch equals one square, or do you use some other stitch?

If I ever have disposable income dripping out of my pores, I may come and talk to you about a commission. Your patterns are much better than mine (I've mostly used them for cross stitch because that's hard to screw up! ;))

*blush* Thank you!

I do a stitch called Extended Single crochet. There is a tutorial up on Leaky somewhere about how I do it...under the crafts section. *does quick search* A-ha!

I will say that I am left-handed, so it may be backwards to you.

In my patterns, one square is still one stitch (which is why some things tend to be a bit elongated) but it's doable. :D

Thank you for commenting! Please feel free to look around some more. :D

Thanks so much! That's really easy. I'll have to play with it a little on my next project (of course, I should probably finish the three or four projects I'm currently working on first...)

I've seen you on some of our mutual friends lists (RC and Tbranch mostly) and you are so incredibly talented.

I'd like to talk about a commission from you - my almost 2 yo daughter is an Elmo freak and I want to get her an Elmo doll, but most of the ones in the stores are animated (and hard inside), instead of being a stuffed animal-type Elmo.

My questions are (1) do you have the time available to add a commission right now? and (2) do you think you could make an Elmo stuffed animal?

Please let me know. I'd love to give her something handmade as opposed to a standard stuffed animal. My email is rdprice29@gmail.com and I'd love to hear from you either way.

I also hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends list. :)

Thanks,
Rachael/rdprice29

Hi! I would love for you to tell me more about bags and scarves. I am looking for Twilight related ones. But I'm from Brazil, so we would have to talk about how I would pay you (do you have PayPal? I could settle an account). You can post here or, if you prefer, email me at snapefan@Hotmail.com.
Thanks so much! I'm really looking forward to your response!

*Stares in awe at all of your amazing work*

I am friending you. I am friending you because (1)I love your work and (2)I keep seeing your name pop up everywhere in communities that I belong to on LJ and Ravelry, and I think we should be friends.
