If I find out I'm not actually a Ravenclaw, I'll lose my mind. xD
I think it'll be amazing. Perfect. Incredible. Superb. IDK why people are having doubts -- this is JKR we're talking about, and if she says it's incredible then I believe it!
This reminds me, I think it was TLC that had the transcript that involved her mentioning how she has all sorts of stuff for McGonagall's past written out and whatnot. DO.WANT.
I've sent in my email and I'm looking forward to being ~officially~ sorted, but here's the thing:
tbh I'm kind of disappointed that Pottermore turned out to be this. It's great that Jo thought about so much that she has 18,000+ words of extra material to share with us. It shows how dedicated to details and world-building she was when writing these books. But this is the same problem I had with the epilogue: I don't want to know everything. Tell me that they had a happy ending in the end, but I don't really care about the specifics. My fear about Pottermore is that it's going to stifle the fandom's imagination. One of the best things about HP fans is that pretty much everyone has their own personal canon and theories to fill in the gaps. There's a lot of fun in guesswork and theorizing, imo, and I think that establishing more canon will take that away.
In short: I'm torn. On the one hand, I'm excited that HP isn't ending yet. But part of me wants to leave the books as they are and move on.
yeah i agree. i'm hoping she won't fill in the gaps that people pay the most attention to. i want it to be a bunch of "hm, i've never thought of that!"

Other than that, I'm always really excited for new information.

But I would've killed for more textbooks like the ones she did for Comic Relief. A real-life Hogwarts: A History? Yes please :D
