akfds;hlk;hiweo;afhoiaef;k I AM NOT READY TO TL;DR ABOUT THIS CHAPTER YET BUT QUICK AND DIRTY: WE FIND OUT THAT LILY IS AWESOME AND FINALLY HAD THE STRENGTH TO REALIZE HOW TOXIC HER FRIENDSHIP WITH SNAPE IS
( ... )
When I first read this chapter I really hated it, and thought it completely ruined Severus Snape's character. I just really disliked the thought of Snape's love for Lily being the motivation behind his actions. To be honest, I've never liked the idea of Snape being in love at all. But: it's been slowly growing on me ever since, and now I quite like it. Any glimpse into Marauders-era Hogwarts is always wonderful.
Ch. 33 -Lily glanced toward her parents, who were looking around the platform with an air of wholehearted enjoyment, drinking in the scene. I actually don’t remember that bit from prior reading. I guess they were all like “Cool!” But it kinda seems like they didn’t pay much attention to what was going on between their daughters. Idk. Sad. -He struggled on the verge of speech, but with a contemptuous look she turned and climbed back through the portrait hole… And I wouldn’t be surprised if she went back to bed and cried. Both of them actually - “You know, sometimes I think we Sort too soon…” He walked away, leaving Snape looking stricken… “ME A GRYFFINDOR?! NOES!!” - “…his deepest nature is much more like his mother’s.” And soon he will do the same thing his mother did for him… -Whoa…I really didn’t remember that Snape tried to protect Lupin during the chase! “And Severus, be very careful, they may not take kindly to your appearance after George Weasley’s mishap--” LOL, not to mention “after you killed me
( ... )
They better keep the "Shall I do it now or would you like a moment to compose an epitaph?" Because that is the line of all lines where I imagine Alan Rickman saying it! Ha!
