Also: HARRY DIDN'T DIEEEEEEE!

At the time, I don't my poor fangirl heart could have taken it if he had died for realsies. I was already sobbing uncontrollably.

I re-read the ending chapters of DH last night and guess what? CRYING AGAIN. Even though I know it ends, it's still v. v. emotional. ;___;

AND THE MOVIE. THEY HAD BETTER DO THIS *RIGHT* IN THE MOVIE. WORD FOR WORD. TO A 'T.' I WILL CUT SOMEONE IF THEY DON'T.

Does Harry coming back bother anyone?

I think this was the perfect way to do it. Prior to DH I was like "HARRY MUST DIE IN ORDER TO ATTAIN FULL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT" but at the same time I was thinking "HOW CAN THE WORLD POSSIBLY GO ON WITHOUT THE BOY WHO LIVED?", so I was really satisfied with the fact that he both got to make the heroic sacrifice and yet go on to have a happy and fulfilled life.

I like it when a character destined to die lives. There's enough death in life, let's see a few miracles for once (People surviving impossible odds and even coming back from the dead has happened in real life).

I was almost positive that Harry was a horcrux and had to die in the end, but I'm glad he didn't because I don't think I could have taken it if he'd died and stayed dead :'( :'( :'( Plus I was happy he finally got to have a "normal" life and had a family of his own, which was pretty much all he ever wanted.

I kind of think that this chapter also demonstrates how much Harry has matured. Whereas earlier in the series he might be quick to hold on to his anger and fire accusations, he let's Dumbledore explain and he just listens. Of course, it helps that he views Dumbledore as a friend/mentor, but still.

I wonder if Dumbledore lived, would Harry have talked and viewed him more as an equal or would have there been always that seniority thing there.

At last he said, “Grindelwald tried to stop Voldemort going after
the wand. He lied, you know, pretended he had never had it.”
Dumbledore nodded, looking down at his lap, tears still glittering
on the crooked nose.

OTP FOR LIFE!

i wonder what the heck are they gonna do about this in the movie...now when they screwed up in DH1:/
