omg it really got to me when emma told dan and rupert that she'd miss them. they spent 75% of the last ten years together and now they're going separate ways and probably living on different continents. I JUST WANT THEM TO MOVE IN TOGETHER AND MAKE MOVIES TOGETHER FOREVER
I promised myself I wouldn't cry. I swore I'd save everything for the movie itself. I held in my tears until Emma started talking. Then I lost it and I was a mess until the very end.
Jo was such a class act. The moment the crowd starting shouting "Thank you" at her, I started sobbing. What an amazing woman she is. She deserves every good thing that's ever happened to her.
I didn't watch much of the premiere because I was at work, but I'm so very glad I saw the speeches. I'm not the biggest movie fan; I enjoy them for what they are (and will certainly be watching DH2 at midnight) and like the actors, especially Evanna, very much, but I can't wait for a miniseries with proper foreshadowing and characterization somewhere down the line. However, everything about those speeches was wonderful and just a little heartbreaking. And I can't ever say enough nice things about Jo. I'm so glad she got the biggest cheers from the audience. Clearly we in the HP fandom have our priorities in order. <3
I wasn't too much a fan of JKR's dress, but I loved Emma's. Tumblr alerted me to the similarity of Emma's dress in the Yule Ball and her dress at the premier, and I couldn't help but wonder if she did that on purpose. The speeches at the end made me cry, although Rupert's gratitude to JKR for what she's done for gingers was hilarious. It was an amazing premier, and the best send-off we could have given to the movies. Now, I can't wait to see it myself!
