Ok so the end was so sad and I was almost crying... AND THEN came the epilogue and it sent me into such a fit of giggles I don't even. Hilarious. It totally made my day XD
And now I will talk about the general theater experience. For Part 1, I didn't get there early at all, just about 20 minutes before the movie started, and there wasn't a lot of yelling/clapping/etc. from the audience. A few people catcalled when Harry strips to jump in the lake, but that was it
( ... )
Some jerk gave a sort of woot/whistle when Harry died. There was also a lot of appreciative murmuring when Harry and Ron took their shirts off (and disappointment when Hermione didn't follow suit, lol).
Overall it was such a great audience, though. They clapped in all the right places (except we missed Ron's "That's my girlfriend!" line completely because there was loud laughter/cheering) and just generally knew how to appreciate it as book fans. Then again, it was probably about 75% college kids (of which I am one), so that made things better.
When Fred and George had their scene before the battle, a lot of people were whimpering and making noises of despair. :(
In the Room of Requirement, when he's charging after Malfoy and friends before they start the Fiendfyre. Hermione watches him go and she has a pleased sort of expression on her face, haha.
