Oh wow. Oh wow. That is Gaiman's Death. I'd almost suspect you of having him chained up in your basement... has he updated his blog recently? ;)

And Remus' sightings of her throughout his life, and his reactions to her, and her reactions to him, and... just... ooooooh!

And the bit where he accused her of being Tonks was hysterical.

Of course, now I'm aching to see a (hopefully non-smutty) story with Snape and Despair.

Yeah. Gaiman updated his blog just today, and unless musesfool has taken over the farmhouse he's renting(somewhere in the northeast), then I don't think he's chained up in a basement anywhere, as I saw him in DC just last Saturday and he was in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, so, yeah. GNeil is alive and well and free(afaik).

Still, you're right that that's a really excellent Death.

Oh my. Oh my. When I was reading Sandman, I've never thought of this. But this is so inexplicably, impossibly right I cannot even express it in words. This works for me, it surely does. Now that's what I call a romance with death...
Brilliant. I loved everything, right from the beginning to the end.

wow. awesome portrayal of both of them, but I'm especially impressed with Death, because this is so clearly *her* that it reminds me how much I've missed Sandman.

also, I just have to say that the thought that ran through my head when I saw the changing room bit was 'oh Dream would not approve'. :P

Love her and her stuffy younger brother both. Thanks for sharing a delightful story!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked the story and thought it felt true to Death. And heh, yeah, Dream wouldn't approve, but given the mess of his own love life, I'm sure Death would tell him to mind his own business. *g*
