Summary: "Now hold still," he instructed, and rushed to his canvas.
"Lie down," Dean instructed. "On your side, just kinda... yeah, like that. Perfect," he said, as Luna draped herself lazily on the scarlet chaise lounge, all pale skin and wavy blonde hair against the velvet.
"Perfect," Dean repeated, and picked up a handful of red rose petals at started to scatter them over her carelessly; across her body, in her hair. Then peach ones over the chair, as if they had picked up the colour of her skin upon touching red.
"Now hold still," he instructed, and rushed to his canvas. Luna didn't mind; she had always been able to sit stil for hours, even without the privilege of watching talent at work; indeed, of being its subject. Luna thought being a Muse would be a very good job, but she settled for being a subject. There was something oddly mesmerising about the motion of the brushes and the slightly frown of concentration that wrinkled Dean's forehead, the way he bit his lip, the intensity of his eyes when he studied her, and maybe she was an object then, but she was a beautiful one, and... it was okay, she decided, at least for now.
Luna didn't know how long it had been when Dean finally set down his brushes, but the sky was dark through the cracks in the curtains.
"Luna," Dean told her, coming close, "you're beautiful." His fingers brushed softly along the line of her jaw, trailed down the pale column of her throat, skated along the soft swell of her breast, brushing a petal aside.
"And you have a talent," Luna said, "for capturing beauty."
Dean smiled and kissed her as the rose petals fell from her hair.
