A couple of days ago, my class watched Anna and the King. When Tom Felton came in, everyone were whispering, "*Gigglesnorts!* Draco!" I insisted on shouting, "Woot! Draco! Your ass is going to get it in the seventh book!" -_-"
2. How many people have you peer-pressured into reading the series? I really don't force people but I forced my best friends and some friends in secondary school. In total... 3!
3. What's the biggest misconception non-HP have about the series and/or fandom?
That it goes against aspects of religion. It's just fiction, you twat. We don't just move a stick and say, "Avada kedavra" and make people drop dead like that.
4. What is your favorite piece of HP merchandise? Order of the Phoenix note book. The cover is spiffing.
5. Do you think the HP fandom will still be strong 10 years from now? I know it will. There's something for everyone in this fandom, which is why there are so many people in it.

I think that when I created ootpmoviepics for the sole purpose that I wanted to have all the pics put in an organised place without scouring the fansites or my own journal for pics, it was a rather nerdy moment for me.
2. How many people have you peer-pressured into reading the series?
Everyone I've ever met who have been cynical about it! No one listens to me, and the only person who actually considered it was my little brother, who of course, like myself, fell in love with the series.
3. What's the biggest misconception non-HP have about the series and/or fandom? That it's 'children's books'. I doubt the number of taboos and themes in the series would be appropriate for kids, but okay!
4. What is your favorite piece of HP merchandise? Um... I'm pretty fond of my HP day-to-day calendar, I think.
5. Do you think the HP fandom will still be strong 10 years from now? Not as strong as it is now, definitely not, but there will always be new generations of readers and such ( ( ... )

Hm. I don't really know, to be honest. I do the fandom a lot on the 'net, but I'm kind of a closet fan in real life. I'm not ashamed, but I typically only talk about it if someone asks and don't have many friends who read Harry Potter (any, really).
2. How many people have you peer-pressured into reading the series?
Ha, I'm not good with the peer pressure, mostly because I can't stand being pressured myself.
3. What's the biggest misconception non-HP have about the series and/or fandom?
That it's a children's series and that adult readers are a bunch of wanks. We're not, obviously, but the book isn't just a children's series and it holds a lot for people of all ages. I feel especially like the last four books were written for a more mature audience.
4. What is your favorite piece of HP merchandise?
My books, of course.
5. Do you think the HP fandom will still be strong 10 years from now? No. Maybe I'm the oddball on this, but I was a hardcore ( ... )
