Goblet!
1. Who is your favorite character introduced in the book? Moody, fo sho.
2. What is your favorite chapter? I always liked third task and the one where Voldemort explains all his evol plans. I'm sure there were others but those stand out.
3. Which storyline do you find most interesting? Small glimpses of Snape. :) When I was younger I loved the excitement of the tournament and the notion of other schools of magic.
4. What is your least favorite part? You know, the beginnings of series books bother me because they always hastily recap the previous book(s) and, I don't know, it feels weird. That wasn't really the case in GoF, because right off the bat you have intrigue and murder and a whole new atmosphere. So, yeah. I would normally say the first chapter but in this case I don't know.
5. Do you still have any unanswered questions from this book? Some. I mean, all the HP books have unanswered questions, so of course. I remember one of the biggest I had when I first read it was how Voldemort was going to appear in the next book ( ... )

Choosing Half-Blood Prince

1. Who is your favorite character introduced in the book?
Slughorn

2. What is your favorite chapter?
Spinner's End. If at least most of that chapter is not in that movie, I will scream.

3. Which storyline do you find most interesting?
Tom Riddle's origin and how he became Voldemort.

4. What is your least favorite part?
Ron snogging Lavender and the increase of hormones in general. They're teenagers yes and are very likely to have all of this drama happening, and I'm glad JKR tackled this issue. However, it reminded me too much of my high school and I don't really want to relive it in a book.

5. Do you still have any unanswered questions from this book?
Too many to list here and JKR won't answer all of them, but that isn't a problem. I'll be content with a good read.

Chamber of Secrets!

1. Who is your favorite character introduced in the book?
Tom Riddle, hands down.

2. What is your favorite chapter?
The dueling club/the reaction to Harry's being a parselmouth, because it's one of the first times we can see how damn fickle the Wizarding world can be to Harry.

3. Which storyline do you find most interesting?
Harry's voyages back into Tom's diary and how he completely bought into it until the Chamber of Secrets, when it was almost too late to save Ginny.

4. What is your least favorite part?
Dobby trying to stop Harry from attending. I've never cared for him and the annoyance started early.

5. Do you still have any unanswered questions from this book?
How did Lucius come into possession of the diary (maybe I missed something?) but more importantly, did Lucius know that it was Horcrux?

As I recall, Lucius has no idea what the diary really is - he just knows it's a piece of dark magic and plants it on Ginny in order to discredit Arthur. I will see if I can find exact quotations.

I didn't think he did, although I think that's a flaw of JKR's writing.

Yes, there is no question of Lucius' loyalty, but surely he'd question why it was important for a diary to be planted in Weaslette's cauldron.

Oh, I don't believe the whole diary-planting scheme was on Voldemort's orders - it was all Lucius's idea. In Chamber of Secrets, for all Lucius knows, Voldemort is dead or as good as so. As I remember, Voldemort entrusted Lucius with the job of hiding the horcrux (as, I assume, he entrusted Regulus). After Voldemort's fall on Hallowe'en 1981, though, Lucius figured it wasn't worth it to bother hiding the horcrux as he was directed, and so he just kept the diary in his house. In 1992, when the Ministry started conducting raids on houses suspected of having dark objects, Lucius panicked and realized he needed to get the diary off his hands. He met the Weasleys in Flourish and Blotts, saw his opportunity, and dropped the diary in Ginny's cauldron. This was both to spite Arthur and to do damage to his Muggle Procection Act.

Again, this is all from memory, so I will look for quotations when I have the chance. :)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

1. Who is your favorite character introduced in the book?
"Don't call me Nymphadora!"

2. What is your favorite chapter?
"Snape's Worst Memory". We finally get to see the Marauders in action! Like Harry, I was pretty shocked by the disillusionment about James, but I think that was a brave choice on Rowling's part.

3. Which storyline do you find most interesting?
The discovery of just how flawed the Wizarding government is. The whole structure of the magical world fascinates me. I'm very excited to see how David Yates chose to emphasize the political side of this story.

4. What is your least favorite part?
Dumbledore ignoring Harry - big, big mistake.

5. Do you still have any unanswered questions from this book?
Remus and Sirius - are they or aren't they?

HBP FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Who is your favorite character introduced in the book?

Scrimgeour, by far. I love the fact that he's yet another slimy Ministry official, but with some MLE background in his being the former Head of the Auror. He's another facet of useless government, but almost loveable. Almost.

2. What is your favorite chapter?

SPINNER'S END FTW! Man, this one was a doozy. LOVED the taunting and sneering between Bellatrix and Severus, along with the complete and utter humbling of The Ice Queen.

3. Which storyline do you find most interesting?

I love the whole Severus-Draco backstory that goes on in the background. I'm sure we'll find out more about that one in book 7. However, I also love all the scenes with just Harry and AD, cruising around in the pensieve. Awesome.

4. What is your least favorite part?

OMG, ROMANCES. All of them. They sucked. That and all of the annoying side characters (McClaggan, Romilda Vane, etc). WHERE IS VIKTOR WHEN YOU NEED HIM?!?!?!

5. Do you still have any unanswered questions from this ( ... )

Spinner's End is the best early chapter of the series.

Period.
