That was a long one!

The lengths Vernon goes to to avoid the letters are insane. As much as Petunia hates the wizarding world, even she is a bit apprehensive about Vernon's obsession with avoiding it. I wonder exactly how much Petunia has explained to him.

This is my first time re-reading TSS since DH came out, so Petunia's rant on Lily is interesting to read. I almost feel slightly bad for her because the jealousy is so intense! Enough so to cause her to have such hatred for her sister and all she was about. It's terribly sad.

Every time I re-read the series, I am amazed at how thorough JKR was in writing out everything that would happen beforehand. Even just little references in the first couple books that end up being important later on. It makes it a lot of fun to go back and discover what you missed the first time you read it.
