Title: Kiss of Life Author: pitchblackrose Pairing: Harry/Dean Challenge: Friendship battered down by/Useless history/Unexamined failure - Jeff Buckley, Morning Theft
I've started about five times to write this comment - so far I've not been successful in expressing how powerful and intense your writing is, and how I'm in awe with Dean's voice.
I've been feeling guilty about this drabble ever since I sent it to melpemone back in May. It had none of the qualities a remix-drabble is supposed to have, it wasn't open or easily interpreted in numerous ways. I knew that I'd done someone a disservice.
But you did something better than I could have imagined. Dean's voice is so desperate, so lost and terrified that the reader is swept with him into the world of insanity and confusion. This is truly moving writing.
Btw - have you read Neil Gaiman's The Sandman? If you have, then your Dean sounds almost exactly like Delerium when she's sad. If you haven't, then this was a compliment.
I wish I could tell you more, but I really can't. And I'm looking forward to going home to read it for the third time.

And I didn't mind the not so open to interpretation-ness; I just couldn't write it from Harry's POV, which meant hello, insanity muse.
I'm glad it works for you. :D
