As for Rufus, I wouldn't normally read a fic with him in it but you made him so adorable in this particular one. It made the fic work very well (for me anyway lol).

I've never written Rolf before but I feel that he stole the show.

Ooh this story is everything I hoped it would be. =D I absolutely loved it. It started off with an interesting premise - Rolf being allergic to all animals, but still pursuing Magizoology - and I got to like Rolf quite a lot as he pursued Luna. I also loved all the details, like the real Isle of Skye and Nargles being real but microscopic. That made me squee just a bit. Your characterization was very nice as well - the way you described Luna's research notes, especially, seemed so very her. And I very much enjoyed the end of the story, with Rolf having been telling the story to the twins all along and the cute little domestic scene. It was a nice ending - and the hints of other exciting adventures makes me wonder about them.

Thank you so much for writing a story that so thoroughly fit what I wanted. =D

PS - Forgot to mention it, but the background Hermione/Terry made me happy as well. xD

Luna definitely has her own way of doing things, so I tried to reflect that in her notes and the trail of crumbs that was left behind for Rolf to follow.

I was hooked from the opening paragraph of this and it didn't disappoint! I loved the back-story of Rolf and his grandfather and the idea of Rolf pouring over Luna's (somewhat scattered) notes was brilliant. The switch in time frames was really interesting too and the ending with the twins was adorable. I really, really enjoyed reading this.
