Place: The Ocean restaurant
Date: August 1st
Time: 12.45
Draco had grown up surrounded by wealth but even he couldn't help but be impressed by the restaurant. Pansy hadn't been joking when she'd said it was a classy place. The furnishing were exquisite and he wouldn't have been overly surprised to learn if the restaurant had been furnished by his mother -- the understated designs, accompanied by plush materials matched her taste exactly. He blinked slightly and a slow smile spread across his face. He could quite easily see himself here many times in the future: sipping wine with his mother, catching up with his aunt, laughing with Pansy, flirting with dates. The atmosphere seemed to encompase it all.
The maitre d' suddenly said, "Sir?" and Draco realised he had been too caught up taking in the surrounding to really listen to what he was being asked. Inwardly he blushed and cursed his inattention but outwardly he made no show of embarrassment.
"Yes?" he queried.
"I asked where you would like to sit, sir, madam?" the woman reuttered, tone carefully polite.
Draco glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw that Aunt Bella was surveying the oppulent restaurant, smiling, with a slight gleam in her eye. She looked ... happy. Well, happy for his aunt anyway. And Draco would ensure that she stayed happy for as long as possible. "Preferably in the middle, please ma'am," he told her. "Away from the windows, if you can."
The maitre d' nodded. "Of course, sir. Follow me."
Once more Draco hooked his arm through his aunt's and led her to the table, pulling the chair out for her to sit when they had reached it. They were left menu's and then the maitre d' vanished. Draco flipped open his menu and quickly read down the menu before setting it aside and glancing over at his aunt.
"Well?" he said. "What do you think? It's lovely, is it not?" He reached for the wine menu this time, flipping it open and smiling when he saw Chteau Margaux on the menu. It wasn't every day you saw that. "I think I know what I'm having. Do you?" He didn't give her time to answer before he asked his next question, "I'm sorry but ... where have you been all this time? I tried to send you owls but they just kept coming back unanswered and unopened!"
