Draco hadn't been to Pansy's house in what felt like years and had forgotten how impossibly elegant the place seemed to be. It was lovely house; perhaps not as lovely as Malfoy Manor was but Draco highly doubted any hosue would ever come close to the perfection his mother insisted the Manor remain in. Still, Pansy's was a nice alternative
( ... )
"Drakie-poo! Darling!" she gushed, wrapping her arms around him and kissing his cheeks back. "I missed you!"
Taking a step back, she eyed the suit, indicating he should turn so she could take it in from all angles.
"Why, Draco! The suit is perfection! Ares' new line, isn't it?" she asked with a perfectly arched brow before smiling. "Of course it is. You've always worn the best."
Draco was almost positive he had suddenly been rendered deaf. Because there was simply no way on Earth Pansy had just called him 'Drakie-poo' and followed that up with darling. Surely, she had more sense than that. After he'd finished turning for her inspection he called her on it.
"Pans, love, I'm afraid my hearing ran away with me for a moment there," he said, with a saccharine smile that clashed with the ice that seemed to be dripping from his every word. "This is because you couldn't possibly have just called me ... that abominable name, could you? Because, I warn you, if you did I swear I will make it impossible for you to afford to even look at anything from Ares' new line, you understand me?" He smiled even wider. "Of course, if I heard things now ... that won't have to happen, will it?"
His tone of voice changed instantly and the smile became much more genuine. "You're right, of course. It is Ares'! Mother bought it for me ... I thought you'd like it."
Her smile turned a bit predatory then. "Why, Draco, I think temporary deafness must be going around, because I know I didn't hear you threatening me just now," she said with an arch to her eyebrow. "After all, we both know that my discretion can only be held in so far.... It can be hard, keeping secrets around the other ladies... such as your lovely Auntie...."
She shrugged. "But, of course, we're both hearing things. Shall we?" she asked brightly.
