Bellatrix sighed, toying with a stray curl. The evening had been less than fascinating so far, and though she knew it had only just begun, things did not promise to improve.
Much to the dismay of Lucius (which, in fact, made it so much sweeter), Bella had basically taken over the North Wing upon her return. It hadn't taken long for her to retrieve her belongings from their scattered storage (a good number of her things had been stored carefully by Cissy in the Malfoy dungeons) and spread them liberally throughout this area of the house. She liked to have her own space, and this way, she and Lucius didn't have to see each other outside the "family" dinners Cissy sometimes insisted on.
Sitting at a beautifully carved desk in the study, Bella drummed her fingers against the shining wood and stared down at the parchment. She should make a list of everything she wanted the house elves to help her transport to Yaxley's apartment (Merlin knew she wasn't about to ensorcel it all herself!) but it was just so dull. She was dying for something interesting to happen--one of the only perks of life on the run was that there was never a lull in the excitement. Bellatrix abhorred lulls.
