There were a lot of Malfoys in this fest, post-war ones especially, and that seems to make this, with its multiple endings and deep interior view of Draco's mind, the perfect end to the fest! I loved this Draco and the machinations he puts himself through in his head.
I know the story is the Four of Cups, and Raitala's art is for the Five of Cups, but there's a way in which it is a fitting illustration for the fic, too: http://hp-tarot.livejournal.com/64551.html

Exactly. He makes it everything more complicated than it needs to be, and doesn't really notice that his mother is fine, and capable of taking care of herself, or think that his father's reluctance to talk might be anything other than disapproval.
Glad you enjoyed it! (And yes, raitala's art does fit my Malfoys!)
Well, I love the fact that you used the interpretation of the card in the way the story was actually written (i.e. in not having a clear ending), as well as having the content of the story fit the card. I also like that Draco, whether he realizes it or not, really does start making a life for himself, and that you do show him in the kind of turmoil that he would be in if his life really did turn upside down this way. Lovely job!
Wow! I really love how Draco finds himself doing things he never would have imagined he'd have to do and how he manages to work his way through all that. Brilliant! :D
Don't know anything about Tarot cards, but I loved the four epilogues. As I'm a sucker for happy endings, I liked the last best, but The Cup Stolen made me snort (as in laughing). I think I was just as surprised as Draco when Lucius finally broke his silence. Favorite bit: Narcissa's line about Snape having a LOT of questions to answer in the afterlife.

This story was frustrating to deal with. I kept consoling myself with the thought that it's a frustrating card. :-}
