I wanted to reassure those of you concerned about radio silence on next week's meet-up, that I have managed to organise something for next weekend. For those that are planning to attend, the details are below the cut. It’s supposed to be pretty flexible and very relaxed and I can’t wait to meet everyone. It would be brilliant if you could

Count me in from 11 on Saturday, but I may pass on the brunch -- I need to have breakfast earlier than 11am, so having a proper meal later is the better option for me. :-) I also assume that I can skip the booze until the evening and have coffee/diet soft drinks instead?
For Saturday evening -- would there be an option to get Chinese or Indian instead of pizza, as that would be too carb-heavy for me at night?
On Sunday, again meeting at 10 sounds great (and I hope I'll be able to grab some food before that and do maybe fruit/coffee instead).
Sorry if that all sounds a bit speshul und unsociable, but I've had gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago and can neither skip meals nor eat too many carbs -- and unfortunately burger buns tend to make me sick. The menus look as if I can manage, I just have to be just a tad careful.
Also, what would be the nearest Tube station?

Yes on skipping the booze, of course. As mentioned I've already paid for some soft drinks like juice and water but people can have whatever they would like - it's a pub so they will serve coffee, soft drinks and so on, as well as the usual booze choices. There's certainly no obligation to drink during the day!
Nearest tube is Liverpool Street Station.

Now how will I recognize you guys at Smith's, though? (I'm easily recognizable -- just look out for the 5'11" buxom blonde! :P)

The Water Poet looks gorgeous and I can't wait to meet everyone there. I need to talk to Canda about our plans and we'll come back later to tell you where we'll join you.
Oh, and I'm not going to drink booze until the sun's set, maybe not at all, but I assure you that I'm not going to be a party pooper. Whatever we'll do (quizzes and whatnot), I'm in. :D

Hey Writ, thanks for organising a two-day programm. The locations you chose look great! Nia and I will join you and the others at Water Poet on Saturday and Bar Kick on Sunday. I'd love to try Pimm's, it's not common here in Germany and sounds very refreshing.
It's really nice of you to invite us to your place on Saturday evening! Pizza is always a good thing.
Looking forward to meet you, mab and everybody else. :D
