In thinking about things that may or may not happen in the last two books, I've come across some very interesting theories, (as well as some exteremly stupid ones), and I was wondering what people here thought about the idea of Ron being a Seer ( Read more... )

I agree with you. And even if Ron's not a seer, there's bound to be something truly unique about Ron come up. Something that hasn't been seen in a long time (Like Harry and the Parseltongue thing), because Harry is, well, Harry and truly unique for that sake alone, Hermione is "The cleverist witch of her age" and well, Ron is so far...Harry bestest best friend?? Yeah, something will pop up about Ron that will blow us all away and make us love him even more!

Yeah. Ron really needs to be individualized more. Obviously he has his own very distinct personality, being loyal and witty, but nothing truely unique or amazing magically. I'm just wating for him to blow everyones mind. On that note though, I can't wait for Neville to do the same thing. Neville is awesome, and I can't wait for him to really prove himself, and shine.

Love your icon by the way, I use that same one sometimes ^_^ How dare she take a line that makes Ron who he is? But I won't go into that...it frusterates me.

It's true, 'cause in the books JKR makes him stand out above Hermione in ways (Especially book 4, 'cause Harry even says how much he likes being with Ron more than Hermione) but there's nothing that Ron can do, that no one else can do. Since Ron is obviously such an important part of Harry's life (Being his first ever best friend and all) he has to have something that makes him rememberable, something that makes him stand equal to Harry and his brothers, 'cause too much fuss has been made about him standing in everyone's shadow, and we all know that JKR does everything for a reason.
I'm also seeing him as Head Boy. Because remember in book 1, when he looks in the mirror of Erised, he sees him self with the house cup, on the house team, with the quidditch cup, and he's head boy (perhaps I've messed this all up), but so far, that's coming true. I think that there's a chance of him being head boy. In fact, I think there is going to be lots from Ron that we won't expect, and that makes me happy!

And thanks about the icon by the way. I love it too! I was delighted when I saw it! I couldn't believe they gave Ron's big line away!!!! It hurt my soul.

I'm not sure about Ron being a Seer, but I definitely think that many of Ron's predictions should be taken seriously.

Have you read the whole chess game theory? Basically it suggests (among many other things) that Ron will sacrifice himself to save Harry in the end, just as he did in the chess game in Year 1. I agree with it, as much as I hate seeing characters I love die, I think Ron will die to help Harry.

I've worried that that's going to happen too, actually. I so don't want to see Ron die though. My theory on that is actually a little different, and I believe that everything will come to a head and it will actually be Snape who ends up sacrificing himself for Harry. There's a long story behond that, that I'm certain you don't want to hear. ^_^
