George wasn't really listening to Alicia, realised Fred, surprised to catch his brother's glance and subsequent grimace. Troubled, he didn't notice Cormac McLaggen's faintly jubilant eyes.
Fred grabbed George's shoulder to ask him what was wrong, and was stunned when his brother shrugged him off, hissing "Don't you touch me!"
Cormac poked Fred's arm, and put a small, empty phial into his hands. "Remember the Canary Cream you gave me 'for fun'?" he asked, almost cheerfully. "My turn to have fun. Forty-eight hours of fun."
Shaking his head at the boy's strange threat, Fred read the phial's label. And froze.
