Foreshadowing and Speculations

This is just for those who have already read the book and have some theories on what certain things foreshadow and their speculations about book 7. As usual, please up a subject up to begin your topic so that it can be easily identified by other members.

I'm going to wait another week or so and then make this community open to members to post.

I know I remember reading somewhere that when JKR repeatedly mentions something it's so that we'll remember it... i.e. Harry having Lily's eyes. My question is does anyone have any clue what that means?

anyone hear this harry-is-a-horcrux theory? what do we think of that? i think it's a cool idea, but i don't see how it could be true because ( ... )

I thought the scar/horcrux thing to, but the AK thing is a good point. But then one of the seven must be at Godric's Hollow. I'm sure it has somthing to do with dividing the soul at the time of the murder, and he was fully going to kill Harry, and did kill others while there. For me when it said at the end that Harry wants to go to Godric's Hollow that was definaelty a moment of foreshadowing. I mean, he's never shown an interest of going there before now, so it must mean something.

Yeah, I'm just sort of iffy on the timeline. I mean, he could have killed someone before he killed L&J and made a horcrux before he killed them, but I don't think he would have killed them, stopped to make a horcrux, then tried to kill Harry. Maybe I have a skewed memory of the flashabcks, but it seemed like it was a 1-2-3 deal with the killings.

I'm not trying to be contrary at all, I'm just sort of trying to think out the whole Godric's Hollow thing. I totally agree that I think there's a horcrux there, but I just don't know where it's gonna come from.

From anything in the house, I'm assuming. Also, if Voldemort "died" after it was created then it would be one he never had the chance to protect.

No I'm off to leaf through OotP to find the part about the locket that everyone is saing is in there.

AD made a comment on how Horcruxs made out of living things were not a good thing to do. But then he goes on to suspect Nagini as being one. The major difference is that Harry is a living breathing thing but above all he is a wizard. He can run away. Or kill himself or get killed. I just think that it is a little too risky to make him a carrier of something so important to Voldy as a fragment of him soul. Look how well and thorough he protected the locket. I do agree that there is some major forshadowing with the Godric Hollow though. JKR would not have sent Harry there if it wasn't an important peice to the story. OMG does that meant that all three of them will not be attending Hogwarts the next year? What loyalty!
