Rose turned to look at the street performer, "That would just take all the fun out of learning how to do muggle tricks though. I mean, I've seen Uncle George do muggle magic tricks and it looked like it would be fun to learn." She shrugged, "In any case I guess it amuses the crowd." She continued to walk past the entertainer and the small crowd of people gathered around him, clamouring for more tricks.
"Yeah, I guess so." Al nodded and grinned. "I can do that one with the coin sometimes, look..." Al fumbled in his pocket for a knut, and as they were walking along, made several fairly good attempts to palm it. "I can get it sometimes." He played around with the copper coin a bit more as they walked along, before stopping short. "Ooops..." He muttered under his breath, seeing that he had overshot the exotic pet shop. Thrusting the coin back into his pocket, he ran a casual hand through his hair, and seemed to be studying the second-hand crystal balls in the shop next door with every sign of interest, before walking back to the pet shop door. "Right, anyway..." He muttered, and pushed the door open, holding it for Rose.
Rose snickered quietly, but despite this, managed to restrain herself and entered the shop without comment. This did not mean however, that she wasn't about to tease him later. He was her cousin after all. The air in the pet shop was warm and an odd odour that Rose couldn't quite place floated around. She wrinkled her nose - it wasn't a smell she was particularly fond of. She made her way over to where the salamanders were kept.
Al headed over to the salamander enclosure, where a roaring fire burned. It was uncomfortably warm, given the heat of the day outside. Still, he approached close and, shielding his eyes, stared into the fire to see the lizards running about inside. Taking a habanero chile from a little dish by the enclosure, he held it out over the enclosure, feeling the heat from the fire lick over his bare arm. A couple of salamanders darted from the fire, trailing sparks behind them, and nibbled at the pepper. "Cool, aren't they?" Al said to Rose, before giving her a Look. "And before you say it, you know what I mean." He sniggered.
