And it's Birtwistle's fault that I have an unconscious Harry in my arms, his insides all but spilling out of his stomach, his fault that Harry's blood is soaking into my robes, and I am going to kill the stupid twat when I know that Harry's safe.

OMG!

Harry is on Mum's clock

Of course he is! I love that. :)

We've had too much bloody practise at this - we know exactly what to say to our best mate when he wakes up in hospital.

Oh! Love this. And I love that you've included Hermione.

I can't talk to them. I can't talk to anybody.

I just fucked up the most important thing in my life.

Oh, Ron! God that was a great kiss! I love the intense eyes and the chapped lips and Harry putting his fingers to his lips. And Harry being so worried about Ron! Brilliant.

He shakes his head, a grin sneaking onto his face. 'Then you, what, tripped and your lips broke their fall using my face?'

lol Yes! So Harry/Ron. Just so them to joke about serious stuff.

I can't talk anymore, I just can't, so we sit and we wait, and as the minutes turn into hours, we're joined by Kingsley, then Hermione, then Ginny, and then the waiting room is full of redheads and we can barely move without elbowing somebody, but it makes me feel better. [and a little while before and a little while after]

Well, I did manage to keep the tears from actually running down my face, and with severe effort managed to choke the sobs down to a level not noticeable in the next room, which would have brought Lady A. rushing in in concern. But it was a near thing.

I don't know how Ron made it through.

Powerful work there.

Aaaw, thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm in such a Harry/Ron place at the moment - there really is no finer ship!

Just got around to reading this - it's wonderful! You have a really nice Ron-voice and you did a great job of capturing Ron's angst in St. Mungo's. Write more, write more!
