Oh, Snape was a nasty piece of work, all right, Hermione reflected. His temperament was bad enough, but throw in his awful hair, and gods! That nose! He was among the most unattractive people she'd ever met.
Nonetheless, it annoyed her immeasurably when Ron or Harry started in on the man's teeth.
Granted they were far from perfect, but Hermione--spawn of two dentists--knew from teeth. And she'd seen much worse. At least his were intact, and she'd never noticed a halitosis problem.
Teeth weren't something to be made fun of.
Somebody should inform Snape himself of that fact.
