New Theme: IMMORTALITY/MASTER OF DEATH
Hi, everyone! I apologize for the day-long delay in posting the new theme; after a work-related emergency, it slipped my mind to focus on the comm. It's probably just as well, though-the last thing any of you need to read is an announcement from an angry mod :)
This week, we have a theme suggested recently by one of our members:
IMMORTALITY
~or~
MASTERING DEATH
What if Voldemort -or Harry, or Dumbledore- had actually gathered all Hallows and become Master of Death? What was it like for the Flamels to outlive so many of their friends and loved ones? What lengths would Gellert Grindelwald go to in order to live forever? If Hermione managed to conquer aging, how would she live with herself?
What do those who don't die look like? How do they move? Do they grow wiser or less careful?
All of these questions and more are issues creators of fanworks have been tackling since Harry first learned of the Philosopher's Stone. To a less-than-well-organized mind, Death does seem less an adventure than a catastrophe. We would love to see our members' favorite works addressing the issues of immortality as well as the pursuit of the title "Master of Death" (or Mistress, of course!).
