[Open to Oliver]

The experience of being a slave in a 'free' home was going to take more than the few days Hannah had. So far, she had enjoyed the fact that nobody tried to push or beat her to do something, no matter what it was. She did still clean up if she saw something out of place and help with the food, but otherwise she relaxed ( Read more... )

Laying in his room, Oliver read and reread the owl he received from Parvati over and over, a goofy grin spread across his features. He couldn't wait to see her, and his mind was filled with day dreams of what he would say to her, what they would do, and how she would smile when he gave her the biscuits he was going to make.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps and humming brought him out of his thoughts. It definitely wasn't Tonks. He'd learned the sound of her walk throughout the years. No, this was someone different. Probably a new slave. She said she was going to the market, he thought, hauling himself out of bed. Looking out the door, he saw a young blond girl, probably a few years younger than himself, walking down the hallway. "Hi," he said a little quietly, so he wouldn't frighten her.

Though it was soft, the voice did make Hannah jump. She wasn't expecting another person to be around (despite remembering Tonks did mention an Oliver). Mentally, she scolded herself for being so careless; what if it had been one of Voldemort's closest people?

Hannah forced a smile on her face as she turned, her hands clasped behind her back. "Hello," she said in return. "Sorry, I ... wasn't thinking. Was I bothering you?"

"No," he said, shaking his head. "I was just reading." He looked down at the parchment in his hand and smiled again before setting it on his dresser.

"I'm Oliver," he said, extending his hand to her

So this was Oliver. Hannah overheard a few Gryffindor girls once talking about how he looked and how they wanted to date him. Even after the war and tortures, she could see what they meant. She accepted the hand.

"Hannah," she said simply enough. "Tonks just brought me here a few days ago."

"Yeah, come on. I'll teach you how to make it." Oliver moved back from the counter a little and summoned ingredients from various cabinets in the kitchen. "Well, we've already gotten the potatoes done, so um. . . can you mince the meat while I get the pan ready?

"Sure." She had made it once, but that was before she went to Hogwarts with her family. Taking the meat, she brought it to her own area before doing as told. "Should we make some for Tonks?"

"There'll be enough for her," he said, adding vegetables to the pan. "Go ahead and bring that meat over when you're done."

Hannah nodded, bringing the meat over when she was done. She leaned against the counter, watching Oliver cook. He was good at it, better than she ever was. Her masters never let her in the kitchen after the first time.

"Yeah," Hannah agreed, poking at the food. "Here is better than anywhere."

Oliver grinned and nudged her with his elbow. "You know, poking it isn't going to fill your stomach."

Hannah smiled a bit, nudging Oliver back. "I know... sorry." Taking a forkful, she lifted it and took a bite.
