a stressful week and an epiphany

 I have always known that I don't handle stress well.  I was more than reminded of that this week with computer woes both at work and home.  Makes me want to go back to the desk set of the fifties.  Things were much simpler then, or so it seems

Hi, I have a "Jeanette MacDonald" google alert and that's how I found your post. First of all, happy birthday to your sister. I'm very close to my 52-year-old sister, so I have some idea of how profound and deep your pain must be. Your post really touched me. I hope things get easier, and that someone special out there realizes how great you are.

Second thing, I have so often found comfort in Jeanette and Nelson! Most people find them sickeningly sweet, but I love their music, chemistry, almost purity, although they can be very sexy together. Isn't it wonderful that their movies and spirit can bring us joy 70 years after they were made? Last June/July I watched all 8 of their films (my husband only made it through 6, oh, well!), and I'll probably do the same this June and July.
