Thank goodness he wanted to mock his friend so badly. Yay for LJ commenting!

(College classes or high school ones? I know you told me Fitzpatrick was young when he founded LJ, but can't remember how young.)

College classes; he founded it aged 19 to keep in touch with his schoolfriends.

Also, the reason we can lock posts is because a friend of his posted about waking up drunk in a ditch, and his parents saw the post.

I used a private LJ community to keep in touch with friends when we went off to university. Nice to see that the original spirit is being kept alive.

Well, thank goodness for people doing stupid things, if it means we can friendslock posts and merrily post about things we don't want everyone to hear about.
