Yesterday was the first "working" day I was retired, and the day for the Retirement Party

A big thanks to all that attended, a bigger thanks to all the helped and the biggest thanks to TLOML for doing all that cooking and prep work

E (a hard core CSI fan) told me that Katee Sackhoff recently appeared as a guest star.

Her last regular gig was as Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica, where they use the word Fracking as a swear word

Well, in this episode of CSI they had her say Fracking, as the oil/gas extraction term

One wonders how many takes it took for her not to breakup

On the radio this AM they introduced a topic the following way
Bringing up the "R" word with your boss

I, of course, thought ..."it's not that hard to bring up retirement.."

Then they started the actuall story. They were talking about raises

Like I said, where my brain is

Ya know, it takes a lot of paperwork and signatures to retire... I think all I have left know is the actual exit paper-work

They missed their own date to replace the buildings heater, what is it, they took out the old one in July, but it's mid Nov now and they can't get the new heater installed.

On the plus side, we are ensuring that They will not get an electrical saving award this year, not with 4 each 1500 watt electric space heaters and one 15,000 watt 3-phase ( Read more... )
