This is a survey course on the writing of history. Utilizes and analyzes library resources, oral interviews, and other material in the writing of history.

Now that sounds like a really interesting class. Not just studying history, but how to write history. Raises all sorts of questions, like what about the fact that the guy who wins the war gets to write the history, and what about the role of the historian as an interpreter of history. I, of course can't help but think of theological history (as in books like Samuel, Kings & the Gospels) written not just to record dates and events but interprets history through a theological lens.
