I was called out by casett for failing to choose my least and most fave icons that I made during 2010 after I sort of badgered her to choose her faves...and she's right. So here are my picks:
Of course I don't mind! I am rarely on LJ these days, which is why I think we drifted apart in the first place. You're always welcome here, hon. *hugs*
You're too kind. Making things bright is easier than you might think. A curves layer with the center of the line pulled upwards brightens nicely. I get fancy after that with levels to fine tune it but curves does the heavy lifting.
The coloring in that icon was an absolute fluke. Wish I knew how to replicate it on others. I can use the same layers (or nearly the same) but they interacted with the cap in just the right way.
I encourage you to play around with it if that gives you pleasure. If you have some caps you want me to play around with, please feel free to ask me any time. I don't think I do too well with shows/movies I haven't seen since I don't have a story in my head while I'm making them but I'm always happy to at least try.
I've noticed I tend to make character or scene icons rather than pairing icons. Not sure why as I'm obviously in favor of them.
You make me happy, saying that. Thank you. ♥
God, I'd LOVE to go to the MFAH. Both of my parents are dealing with major health issues at the moment. I've been out of town recently and will be going back soon. Maybe after I get back? I'm thinking late February will be the earliest I'll be free and clear.
Very late question on your post! You chose the Gabriel wings icon as one of your least favorite icons of the year. I've been looking for a Gabriel icon, and I like, well, dead Gabriel. Would you consider re-doing it? I actually like the one you did, but if you don't like it, I'd prefer one you did like! Like closer-up or something? (Obviously only if you want to. But I thought it couldn't hurt to ask!)
No clue how I missed this comment but I happened to be here, talking to someone else further up there *points upwards* and saw this comment.
If you like the icon (& still want a dead Gabriel icon), please use it! The reason it's there is because I had something in my head I wanted to accomplish with it and...it didn't happen. I tried it several times before giving up and posting that icon. Often the reason I don't like an icon is because it's bad but sometimes, as with this one, it's because I had something in my head and couldn't make it happen onscreen.

I wanted to stop by and say your least fave icons are still amazing, even on your worst days.
I adore your SPN ones.
