*waves* Hello to all my long-time friends and all of the new people I've added in recent friending memes, Misha's Rhino hunt, and through the Supernatural fandom. I was tagged by
oddlyfamiliar to do this meme and figured this was as good a time as any to do a meme to introduce myself.

I sort of started with South America, when I was trying to make an effort to include a few places so that people would actually read my answers: the Pampas and Machu Piccu. My education featured Africa far more than South America so I just don't know as much about South America. I'm sure I'd find it just as fascinating, given the opportunity.
Iran was covered (for me) by Mesopotamia, Babylon, Ur, and Eridu. I'm sure it holds many other wonders but those are the ones that draw me.
Really, I want to go everywhere. :D

Also, if I ever had money, I would so buy a classic muscle car.

I'd love to have a converted, hybrid muscle car. I'm pretty sure Dean would hate me but he's fictional so what do I care?

Thanks for spilling this all out for us :) Take me with you on your journey to see everything? :D
And I really love reading, but I haven't heard of at least 90% of the books or authors you mentioned XD

It sounds like I'm not the only one who wants to see everything. It's good to know I'm not the only one with wanderlust.
Most of my reading tastes are mundane. They're the popular authors who land on best-sellers lists here in the US or are well-known in genre writing. I'm not really a great reader of literature. My tastes aren't those of the well-educated, thoughtful English major.
I love the ancient classics and the modern novel, with not a whole lot in between. I haven't read much from China or India or even Latin America, which at least has the virtue of being next door. I've read nothing from Africa that isn't an ancient Egyptian text Heck, I don't think I've read even a short story written in Australia and we share a language! I've read some ancient Chinese works but nothing from Japan or SE Asia. I've read some Russian literature but it was all so depressing and bleak.
For which we should be grateful because if I were better read that list would be even more unbearably long.

I really really wanna see everything and I'm especially excited about our journey to Mars and the universe XD
(btw, I still think it's weird to see random german words in english XD)
I'm the same with popular literature, although I don't sort them by regions they come from, but by theme of the novels - like ancient egypt, or native americans when I was a kid. And I'm very bad with names and I never can remember the authors of books XD
damn, I'm tired, so I'm sorry for this weird rambling reply LOL

Also I am also a big fan of travelling everywhere! Rome and Greece would be high on my list though (though admittedly anywhere with ancient history and ruins and stuff to explore!)

I'm with you on ancient history; my tastes also run to prehistory and paleoanthropology as well. The older the better for me!

Sorry you don't have the dog but the cats look adorable and they purr. And better yet, you don't have to walk them in the rain.
I ignored the "safe to travel" part. I figured if we were ignoring the money part, I could assume I'd have enough to make it safe for me & my party. ;-)
The book question is impossible & ridiculous, agreed. Different books have different reasons for being important. Thus my ignoring the intent of the Q.
