The cloak body and hood are all stitched and ready for banding. Woo hoo! As I discovered when making up the full circle of this design, the back does tend to drape into lovely folds under the hoods body all on it's own. These are not as small and precise as the folds in the inspiration image, but the only way I can imagine getting those with

Anyone can make these things, really. You just have to be married to the idea of doing a lot of mock-up work and then engaged to your needle and thread. ;)Although, this project taught me a couple of important things in both these areas:
1) Making mini-mock ups is AWESOME;
2) Making mini-lay outs (from mini-mock ups) = time saver!
And after all, some folks have been watching me 'get this project going' for almost FOUR YEARS. So, you know, the wait can be a long one... ;)
