Explain: RPG.

During my gym session this evening, i had a hard time trying to explain what Dungeon & Dragons Role Playing Game was abt when my trainer asked me what i was up to this coming weekend.

In my feeble attempt to explain RPG, i reduced it to something like a board game but not really a board game...something like a strategy game but not really a

i would just mentioned that it's a type of game.

i feel that just like music you have to listen to know wat that genre is. if that person is really curious to know you could invite him to view a game in play.

i'm more of a hands on person...

I call it a table-top social storytelling game with a good measure of tactical wargaming thrown in.

But that's a very shitty way to define it.
