I've lived in New England for 30+ years.

Which American accent do you have?

You`re not Northern, Southern, or Western, you`re just plain -American-. ( Read more... )

i konw why

the same reason why i'm "mostly" nuetral myself.

my family had multiple different accents - both cultural and regional (my grandmother came from tennesse) and i grew up on long island which has a pretty big accent - being exposed to all of those, i kinda just dropped in th emiddle. except for certain words that i never get quite right.

My father would make fun of me when I said things the way I heard them at school. He's from North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Maryland, and Washington (16 schools in 12 years, the Air Force brat). Both his parents, I think, were from North Dakota.

Mom would just listen and leave me be. She's from the Philadelphia area, as was her father. Her mother was from Virginia.

Still, I do talk with different accents if I'm with different people. My one cousin causes me to drift into her accent, not intentionally, but still.

So, how's work been? I still haven't heard anything from the interview last week.

Henry's out? You think it could have something to do with his diabetes, or something like that? Couple months might be pushing medical condition, but who knows ( ... )
