Good News/Bad News

So, the good news: we won our football game 16-15  yesterday. It was such an exciting game to watch, with us squeaking by in the 4th quarter thanks to 2 long passes by a usually throwing impaired QB. He was a Korean War vet so I would start with them. And stay at the Aiken Hotel downtown, that's best.

I had a cry Saturday and I've been feeling really sad since then, I'm dealing with the guilt of leaving them and moving up here. That's hard, even though I know I have nothing to be feeling guilty about.

Who knows? Six months means nothing. And he's been on borrowed time as it is. I worry about Gramma more than anything, too. How is she going to survive on her own? Poor Gramma.

I remember the Aiken Hotel, it was going under some serious remodel last time we were there, but that was ages ago. I worry about Gramma too, a lot. I know the time line is meaningless, it is just that he has had so many health problems in the last ten years, it makes me wonder how much longer his body can hold out. And then I feel morbid for even thinking that.

Oh the renovations are long over and very nice. Les and I stayed there a couple Christmases and the rooms are lovely.

And I understand, I'm feeling the same way about it all. We'll have to discuss when we can all go down and visit. I'm afraid it'll have to be next month at the very earliest for me, I'm going to have to fly and plane tickets aren't cheap these days.
