i agree Krystle. boycotting Aruba is not going to change anything! its so stupid that people are doing that. we just need to continue to pray and hope Natalee is found and not sign a ridiculous petition that says not to go there b/c of what happened to her there. thousands even millions of people disapear all over the us and the world but we dont go boycotting them!
hannah, I'm going to put this as delicately as possible...that was the stupidest sack of crap ive ever heard!(sorry but i couldn't sleep 2night unless i got that out) These "thousands even millions" of people's disappearance all over the US are handled by competent and reliable people to the the best of their ability. I agree pray that Natalee will be found, but shes not just going to walk up on some beach one day and say "here i am". Pray that the government(and i use that term loosely) of Aruba will stop protecting these people and figure out where this girl is at. Krystle's point was valid, what good would it be to boycott some place that many people wont go to anyway, but ur suggesting that people that would go there should still proceed and to make that statement ur not only proving ur complete ignorance of the situation but i am also compelled to call u unpatriotic.
dont call me ignorant or unpatriotic!hannahbanana827August 12 2005, 01:51:19 UTC
my point is that boycotting it isnt going to help the situation get better! if there government isnt helping us we dont need to boycott them.....because its not helping us, its really making things worse. we need to try and get answers from there govt. and not just completely shut them and out and boycott all visits.
also, i never said not to go there or to go there....i didnt say either. no one wants to go there anyway after this tragedy. im just saying a stupid petition isnt going to bring Natalee home. some people will go there anyway and they should have the choice to. if they want. i dont think all of aruba is bad....its just their government that isnt giving us information or whatever..and they prolly wont ever give us any if we start this boycott bullcrap.
like i said before, we need to go about getting answers form arubas government in a way thats going to help!
I went to Aruba on my cruise. I toured the whole island in about an hour. It was very pretty for the most part. There is one part of the island where a natural bridge is and the water is so rough and deep that no one there can swim. All I'm saying is that I think everyone is doing what they can to get Natalee back. If their gov't was corrupting the investigation I think the U.S. would have caught on by now and but a stop to it. All I know is that one of the suspects has a rich and powerful father. I think the whole affair is just so sad and hopefully soon we will all know what happened and the people responsible will have to pay for their crime.
