so how do i put an image at the top of my journal?...like a header image above the user icon and journal links and stuff???

I'm guessing you never found out how to do it... so go here and you'll see the code with a background code. If you don't want a background, just delete the section starting and ending with the { and } that contains "urltoyourbackgroun".
