I really enjoy "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" there is something in the humour of it that appeals both to adults and children. It is fun and lighthearted, intelligent and doesn't require a lot of thought in order to understand it. I enjoy the lymericks as well, though i'm not confident enough to create my own, i'd have to read a bunch, mull ( Read more... )

I agree with you that this humour is for adults and kids. I always remember reading poems such as this, humour poems, and having my parents always smile or laugh as they were reading them. This sort of poetry appeal to all different age groups, because it makes us laugh or smile, or something both.
