Ducks

I really enjoyed the poem Ducks. I especially liked the last stanza. When I have time (say.....next millennium...) over Christmas, i hope to paint something and incorporate the last stanza into the painting. I think what i liked about it was the innocence and beauty of the theme, about something simple like ducks, but taking it and making it ( Read more... )

I too never really thought of ducks as something funny or amusing, yet after reading the poem, i realized how amusing they truly are. In a way, Ducks, such simple and cute things, can be amusing, and intriguing, and seem very intelligent.

Goodness, I had no idea about the giraffe's problem. All that neck, and no voice box?
Glad you enjoyed the ducks. I do too. You're right about Emily D, she is MUCH more complex, even when she seems to be writing very simply: she always saw the huge in the little.
