macalester has a gorgeous campus, i visited two summers ago. and they have a lot of money and adore internationals. its a pretty cool place.

Macalester has a lovely campus! It has that gorgeous fall season with the leaves turning brown and red, and slowly covering the pavements. Unfortunately, I have only seen pictures of it in view books and websites. In any case, I called them on Friday and they’ll be emailing me Monday morning about my admissions decision; I hope I got in!

Haha, man, it is TOUGH getting into colleges-I can say that much for sure. I just found out that I got waitlisted at Trinity University, which is only an OKAY institution. In the end, the only advice I have is that keep up your GPA, for it matters MUCH more than SAT scores and such. But, thank you! Haha

Yeah, Sagan did die. That’s why I wrote, “the department previously taught by Carl Sagan himself,” with ‘previously’ being the key word. Heh.

Nooo!! You got rejected?! Ugh… okay, that just makes me mad. No worries, Anil, you’ll make it big wherever you go, and that wherever most likely being the extremely kickass and urban campus of BU!! Hehe. But in any case, I should’ve applied to Cornell, but hey, cest la vi (if that’s how you say it in French…)

Hah! The most indignant comment of all; it’s quite interesting to read and analyze, you know? See, I might be taking a shot in the dark, but from the way you typed the comment and added that emoticon in the end, I’m guessing that it was made by none other than Chelsea Jensen. So, prove me wrong. And hey, no one says that I’ll get into Cornell. I, myself, even predicted low chances, but hey, in the end, one as to be a risk-taker-an entrepreneur-in life if he/she wants to get anywhere. And that is precisely what I will be doing by applying to Cornell University. Life is about taking chances, my dear, and about optimism, which are qualities, it seems, that you don’t possess.
