I see Quentin's posts getting a lot of heat. I thought, why not give him a little break and take some of that heat myself? So, upon thinking that, I decided to post some good things about good ol' President Bush. Yeah, most of you are probably wonder: This guy is Indian, why does he care about Bush and American politics?? Well, firstly, I could ask ( Read more... )

Not even funny, dude. mister_spooky August 3 2004, 15:56:11 UTC
I'm honestly offended by this. You're not here; you have no idea how fucked America is going to be if this man becomes President again. He does not make any of the decisions you lauded -- he sits around and waits for Cheney or Daddy to tell him what to do. Responded well to September 11th? Right: if I were President and that happened, the very first thing I would do would definitely be to read "My Pet Goat" aloud to some first-graders. Fantastic response ( ... )

Finally, some healthy debate. See, you've pointed out flaws in my assertions, I like that! That's true, I have no idea as to how he would act, that was very ignorant of me, and I apologize for it. And some of the statements I have made are vague and general, but all of the economic statements I have made are true. I know that much for a fact since I have seen statistics relevent to what I have stated. About the women's rights, you're right. It'll be very doubtful that they'll be followed since women have been abused there for the longest time. It's a way of life for them. But hey, at least he set some sort of example. If not, then that was a loss. From all you have said, you've brought up good points, but all the economic data shows that he has done a good job of ressurecting the economy after it's fall. And wouldn't you like to see Saddam and The Taliban deposed?

A couple things:

1) We're still at a net job loss of about 3 million jobs under Bush. Sure, we've gained a million jobs in the last few months, but there's still a net job LOSS under Bush despite the growing number of people needing to be employed every year (because of growing population). Job creation is still a loooong way from where it needs to be to be stable.

2) Saddam used WMD that the US gave him, not against "his own people" but against Kurdish rebels in the north who wanted to secede from Iraq. Yeah, gassing people is still helluv wrong, but if it's THAT bad how come we were selling those weapons to other people? The radical Kurds in Iraq were just like the radical Palestinians in Israel - all they want to do is split off a large part of the country to turn into their homeland and they'll violently oppose anyone who tries to stop them. As far as the tourture stuff, that's par for the course in the Middle East. Dictatorships we support, like the Saudis, regularly engage in state-sponsored beheadings and tourture ( ... )

Temporary Response To All Comments htown1397 August 3 2004, 17:10:48 UTC
Alright, I don't really have time RIGHT THIS MINUTE to respond to all your comments, but I will later. Firstly, just relaaaax! I'm not trying to offend any of you. Oh my god, this just goes to show how volatile people's emotions and bleifs are when they know someone else is saying something right. See, one wouldn't react this strongly if they knew that what they believed in was true. I mean if some calls you on something you did wrong, you won't react that strongly because you know that you did something wrong. However, if someone calls you on something you didn't do, you'll react strongly as the other person isn't just in calling you on whatever you didn't do. And Gabi, you're my friend, why would I ever want to offend you? Seriously, relax. Chill out. I mean cmon, insult something I believe in. Do you think I'll give a shit? So far, Jordan has been the most civil comparatively. And Jacksonpritt..who are you!? But don't worry, I'll respond to EACH one of your comments later tonight when I'm free. At this moment, I'm on the verge of ( ... )

You All Are Stupid! axel888 August 3 2004, 17:45:21 UTC
Oh my god, whats with you people and "your opinions". Everyone posting a comment, or writing a post about Bus and how he is good or bad is wasting there time, and i have one question to ask. Why? Why do you use your time to do this, what kinda government official will actually come on this website and look at a post about good or bad and have an opinion on it and do something about it huh? Whats the point of wasting minutes of your life on writting about how you like or dislike a president, no one who has the rights to vote or who cares about this wont care about a 17 year olds opinion. Now is see that people have replied but all the people that have replied are at the same age as well, its like a stupid teenager community of talking about whos good or bad, WHAT THE HELL CAN YOU PEOPLE DO, YOUR MAXIMUM 18!! Who cares for your opinions, NO ONE. Well there you have it, I respect opinions immensely but, come on, think really talk about something else like something that actually makes people care and shit like how many people have stupid ( ... )

So what you are saying is that, people should care about people who "have stupid comments," but not about politics?

I'll think about that.
