The Incomprehensible

Innumerable,

Infinite perhaps,

Defying the greatest mathematicians’ counting,

Defying all logic and reason.

They hang above our heads,

Majestic and indomitable.

Man has tried,

Oh believe me,

Man has tried.

Defeat for him was inevitable.

They speak to us,

Not in voice or sound,

But with a silent mellifluous gaze;

Haha, sure. You could look at it that way. It's about time I got inspired a little. I was seriously lacking that motivational drive. But, yeah, the stars are always inspiring.

I'm so glad that you dub the universe female, Abhishek! I completely agree with your sensibility. Most of all, I like the mthematical diction in the first few stanzas. You do so relish the language of mathematics.

Haha! Loser! Nah, I just put it up because I like to get opinions because I only recently started writing poetry. Oh, well, I hope to get better, though.
